After the Mac shipped I switched from being a Lieutenant in the security forces assigned to the Mac project to IT, because I fell in love with Apple’s now vindicated visions of computing. When I worked at KMI LLNL I worked for one YEAR straight without a day off. Musk did NOT invent long hours at the office and this is nothing new. Thomas Edison the famed inventor loved his cocaine to keep him up. At Apple it was always weed.

Gross' Kecksburg theory is science fiction. read about it in 2017 on Robert's post and it's more of the same. over-complicating the most likely explanation with SDI like implications, perfect sucker bait for a LLNL wannabe like KORFF. Sheaffer's post reduces it to wishful thinking at best. anyone who has read the article would be convinced. it was a meteor trail. kal should know that. (watch him try to wiggle out of admitting he fell for it in subsequent posts)
in fact, Korff's response to Robert's politely provided link suggests he's never read it & isn't interested and has all the answers with no reason for further reflection. Tries twice to distract Robert by mentioning other names, breathlessly promising exclusive information at a vaguely defined later date via more personal channels, babbling about unrelated topics and basically refusing to back down on having been taken in.
I do not know Robert and have never interacted with him, have only read his blogs and books but regard him as a sitting Dean of skeptical researchers focused on paranormal interest. korff shouldn't be glib, superficial and slick with someone who his trying to help him.
you can hear the ice creaking under his feet as he jabbers disconnectedly, desperately trying to save face. likely Sheaffer is too professional and compassionate to shut kal down to the extent he is asking for it, but I still sort of hope he does.

Ahh! a new refinement to the false history. Now it's noble Lt. Korff "switching" from "security" to "IT" based solely on his enthusiasm for Macintoshe. No practical experience, training, expertise or specialized skills required! No wonder Apple sucks if they are grabbing untrained help from the parking booth to join their developmental squad based solely on their enthusiasm. It's also fun how the Claris angle is dropped from this version of the story.
One last idea is about how the otherwise accomplished Dr. Gross is introduced in Kal's paste-up graphic with one line of credits (including "real PHD" and "Government Agent" - did Gross approve that??? lol) where Kal gives himself four lines of vague self-congratulations no professional would ever c stoop to. Non-stop hilarity!

exactly -- first duty of any cyberpath working their mark is to isolate the target. make sure they are only listening to what the abuser has to say. nobody else is as experienced or wise or as concerned about the target's needs. then transfer focus away from any misgivings of awkwardness to how "wrong" everyone else is in regarding the behavior as abusive or the interaction as unusual.
next step is to gin up a conflict the two can "face together" to manipulate a false premise that the abuser and their target are the only ones each can rely on. crisis manufacture time!
hopefully not, and hopefully the Doc gets misgivings, requests to be removed from korff's self-lovemaking, breaks off contact, and any reference to him abruptly disappears from kal's make believe fantasy of superiority. fingers crossed.
