i like the passive-aggressive “if you don’t want me to notify (the FBI) I won’t” part, obliging the target to respond to what amounts to an insincere offer to take charge of the situation as a favor.
it’s up to the target to respond or the wheels of justice could start rolling on their own, with potentially dire consequences he might not want to be responsible for instigating.

"... the sunglasses - very John Cale". I called him out on that once in YouTube comments. I recently asked why he was wearing sunglasses indoors. He replied that he wore them all the time and that he suffered from an illness that rendered him legally blind. I duly apologied.
This turned up earlier in the summer. Nobody cared at the time and they still don’t. But it did turn up.
